Girls And Women Empowerment

Are you looking for a chance to address the unique needs and challenges that girls and women face every day in Jamaica? Volunteers on our girl and woman empowerment projects can contribute their efforts to the work of various local agencies such as orphanages, women’s shelters, social work agencies and nonprofit organizations.

Project possibilities include helping women recover from exploitation and abuse, teaching job skills at a women’s development cooperative, and partnering with social organizations to help women who are suffering the effects of alcoholism, poverty, and depression. Volunteers also contribute to the day-to-day operations of their host organizations, providing administrative support or assisting with meal preparation and cleaning. These projects provide different opportunities to help women overcome difficult circumstances, empowering them to reach their full potential.
